Five by Design "Stay
Tuned" is a television variety show
musical. This musical journey takes concert-goers back to the golden age
of television (1950-1966) with memorable songs, elaborate staging,
comedy bits, sketches, and commercial jingles-all presented live and in
living color. Five by Design tunes in to the music of television legends
Perry Como, Rosemary Clooney, Bobby Darin, Henry Mancini, Ferrante &
Teicher, and The Four Lads. Highlights of the show include five singers
backed by a tight, eight-piece band, authentic classic fashions of the
50s and 60s, and simple, stylized sets with many props. This vocal
quintet has appeared with 180 symphony orchestras, and over 500
performing arts centers throughout the US and Canada. Don't miss this
nostalgic and entertaining romp down memory lane. "Stay
Tuned" guarantees to be a lighthearted and hilarious evening
for the whole family. Visit the ensemble's website at: www.fivebydesign.com. |

Fascinating Gershwin
is a high voltage ride through the spectacular genius works of George
and Ira Gershwin as performed by the quadruple treat performer (violin,
piano, dance & singing) Janice Martin. She is accompanied by a jazz
trio-consisting of piano, drums and brass. Here's the story line: The
year is 1931, the place is Times Square-the heart of the Theater
district-and the mob owns Broadway. They've already chosen their star,
so the auditions for the big Gershwin production are a sham … until in
walks Melody Starr (played by Janice Martin). The producers pitch every
imaginable curveball to the curvaceous cutie, who wows them as
violinist, soprano, pianist, dancer, actress and more. A joy to watch!
This wonderful show breaks all the rules in a kaleidoscopic mix of
musical styles, characters, humor and illusion. Visit Janice Martin's
website at: www.janicemartin.com. |

Leave it to The Jimmy
Dorsey Orchestra to close our season with
the big band music of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Unfortunately Jimmy died in
1957, but this great 16-piece band now lives on-under the direction of
trombonist, Bill Tole and recreates the legendary sounds that made it
famous. The combined energy of the band with Bill's sweet, smooth,
sentimental style, will take the listening audience from the 1940s right
through the decades to the present day. The show also features vocalist
Nancy Knorr, the lead singer of the famed Pied Pipers. She creates a
tribute to Helen O'Connell with her own style and vocal ease. Don't miss
this lifetime opportunity! Visit their website at: www.jimmydorseyorchestra.com.

theater in the area. Four times larger than its predecessor at Goodrich, the
